I ADORE Liars. Words cannot describe the level of affection that I have for that band. Well, if I was forced to pick a couple, I’d probably say, ‘crazy’ followed by ‘obsessed’ would actually be quite sufficient. For me they are musically, lyrically and conceptually flawless and if you don’t agree with me, I’ll fight you. (We’d make up over scotch and lamingtons afterwards of course, but I’d much rather we just had the scotch and the lamingtons without all the kneecapping and ugliness.) For those of you who don’t already know, it looks like their US tour scheduled to begin this week will quite possibly be post-poned due to Australian-born lead singer Angus Andrew rendering himself immobile whilst trying to retrieve a “tiny pillow” from his couch a few days ago. Since then he’s been peeing into a cup. Have a read of the official announcement of his injury here. I love them. And I can’t stop wondering just how tiny that pillow actually is. I don’t know why.
Speaking of Liars, check out Italian duo, Poland, who have managed to perfect that creepy, dark and droning Liars sound so wonderfully that I literally can’t stop playing their stuff. It’s fantastic.
Get well soon Angus.

P.S. They’ve just announced that the show will go on. Bless their little hearts.

I wish they were all Australian. Then they might actually play out here some time…
