I guess this is one of those situations where you just go along with it and don’t ask why. Signalling the return of good bands touring down here after a brief period of near nothingness, VHS Or Beta are doing some sideshows around Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney before headlining the Sydney Festival, Come Together (*cough* mediocre *cough*). For their Sydney show on the 6th June at the Factory Theatre in Enmore, VHS Or Beta have inexplicably offered a limited number of 2 for 1 tickets, so you can pick them up for just under $20 each. Not bad value really, which means I’m definitely in. Just type ‘TAPES’ in the promotional field here. The Melbourne sideshow is on the 4th June at Hi Fi Bar and the Brisbane one is on the 5th at The Zoo.

OMFG we were going to fly to Melbourne to see these guys (absolutely no way in hell I’d buy ticket to Come Together), then got torn between Bonde Do Role the same night here in Sydney, but this has a) kept us in Sydney and b) kept us very happy, so thanks for the info. Keeping you dialled on our RSS reader has paid off more than once.
$19.90 to see these guys, who have produced a stack of amazing work? How does that happen?
