Deciding on the picture was a mad toss-up between this and a pair of Electro-Wolves. DIFFICULT. The cute sad boy with nice hair may have won this time, but it probably had everything to do with my concern for Holiday Rabbit down there. Probably…
It’s a happy collision of two Electrorash favourites – local boys, La Mode, and French duo, The Shoes – with La Mode’s remix of People Movin’. Abandoning the Ball of Confusion homage of the original, the Melbourne trio deliver a laidback and effortless summer remix filled with tiny handclaps and synth-mews aplenty. Meanwhile, The Shoes have just remixed Local Girl by Bordeaux-born, Paris-based six-piece art-pop band, Adam Kesher, from last year’s LP, Heading from the Hills. (There’s a tiny hiccup in there, but as far as I can tell it’s the only version in circulation, sorry.) Visit Disque Primeur’s website to pick up a copy of their latest 7” Ladies, Loathing & Laughters (not a real word!).
And as for The Shoes, watch out for their upcoming release, “Stade de REIMS 1978,” on Green United Music in February, which will include remixes from personal favourite/potential husband, Yuksek, and Brodinski (whom I guess I’d marry so long as he promised to remain beardless).

that kesher remix is out of control.
Hi,
Do you have rocking Sparkadia Remix’s? I heard there a few floating around.
La Mode remix doesn’t make any sense to me…
