Things I know/have deduced/guessed about AC Slater:
1. He’s named after a character from Saved by the Bell, namely resident jock Albert Clifford “A.C.” Slater
2. He hangs out with previous objects of my affection, Lismore (behind which you’ll actually find an AC Slater remix of Lismore. Oh my).
3. He has a whole lot of early- to mid-90s dance music samples and he is not afraid to use them.
4. He sounds like the kind of thing I want to hear when the night is upgrading from ‘casual drinks with friends’ to an ‘i’m going to regret this but i don’t care spaz-out’.
4A. For those who aren’t entirely sure what such an upgrade entails, think wobbly (no, not fidgety) bass-heavy tech with overtones of bassline house and rave revival.
5. I don’t have a 5.
6. Or a 6.
7. He is remarkably prolific and has tracks and EPs out or forthcoming with Palms Out Sounds, Destination?, Nightshifters and Trouble and Bass. He has also remixed/is remixing (officially mind you) the likes of Moby, Hostage, Drop The Lime, The Freestylers, Deekline & Wizard, Adam Freeland and many more. Like seriously, many more. His MySpace makes for intimidating reading.
8. I have some of his tracks. I am going to share some of them with you. Because that’s the kind of guy I am.
AC Slater – Jack Got Jacked [from the Jack Got Jacked EP, out now on Palms Out Sounds - available from Beatport, Juno and the iTunes Store. Comes with Udachi and Jack Beats remixes]
AC Slater – Party Like Us [originally from 2007, and now seeing a re-release on the Party Like Us EP to announce the launch of AC Slater's new label Party Like Us. It's out through Beatport and Juno on January 20 and comes with remixes from Udachi, Kanji Kinetic and Shy Child. He really does seem to spend a lot of time with Udachi. True bromance?]
The Prodigy – Everybody in the Place (AC Slater Remix) [from the exhaustive, 89 track Buffet Libre Rewind 2 compilation. Am I the only one who thinks The Prodigy Experience is still the best thing The Prodigy have ever done?]
Drop The Lime – Hear Me (AC Slater Remix) [Off Drop The Lime's Hear Me 2009 EP, released last October through Trouble & Bass, with Buraka Som Sistema, The Touch and Drums of Death remixes. No Udachi remix. Sigh.]
Go! Listen! Enjoy! Buy! BUY! BUYYYYYYYYYYYYY!

He DJed two shows in SF back in May. It was a great time, both nights!
