By way of Brisbane, Sydney, NYC and B’more, they’re traveling hobos of the best kind.  They’ve been blogged into oblivion, and rightfully so. The Death Set’s sound graduated first class from the Dan Deacon school of kicking ass and taking names – the excess was collected and crushed under a distortion pedal then locked up in an abandoned mental asylum overnight. They’ve filtered the shivering remains through overproof vodka, collected the vapors and smoked it with a crack pipe. Then they blew the smoke onto it all on a shiny CD, and you can buy that CD – titled ‘Worldwide’ – right now, courtesy of Counter Record/Ninja Tunes. And Inertia. We love you too. This is electro-punk taken back to its essence – stripped back, loud and totally demented.

I had the pleasure of interviewing Johnny Siera from The Death Set a while ago – they’ve worked hard and deserve your full attention. I learned some things from Johnny, so sit down and shut-up. And no you can’t go to the bathroom, you should have done that at lunchtime.
