Now if you’re at that stage where you’re kind of a bit over electro “bangers,” (I’m not nearly cool enough to say “bangers” without the use of inverted commas) because let’s face it, there are a lot of shit “bangers” floating around, then the lively, pop-friendly work of London’s Stealth Disco DJs might just be what you need to lift your weary spirits. This ridiculously likeable duo are producing some of the most upbeat and highly-addictive remixes around, so you’d have to be one of those dudes who, I don’t know, kills kittens or something (I just watched Untraceable), for their material to have anything but a significantly positive effect on your levels of chipper. What really stands out in a Stealth Disco DJ remix is the fact that they know how to handle their vocals and build-ups, which makes it fairly hard not to fall in love with their work. Judging from the outcome, it seems as if the Stealth Disco boys have managed to hold Frankmusik down long enough to pour a dozen butterflies into his jacket and tie a couple of helium balloons around his waist so he comes out of it all even more gorgeously buoyant than before. The Stealth Disco DJs are to The Clik Clik what The Twelves were to Black Kids. And the Cleft Palettes remix? Relentlessly catchy. Be sure to check them out below.
