Space in the Woods Remix Redux

Late of the Pier

Back in October, Bec blogged no less than 8 separate remixes of Late of the Pier’s ‘Space in the Woods’ in a single post. One would have thought that possibly, just possibly, that may have been sufficient. But today I am here to declare ‘NAY, ‘TIS NOT!’ (because occasionally I turn into a sixteenth century knight of the realm while blogging). Savour the flavour mofos (I usually turn back pretty quickly) because here be two super tasty and massively disparate remixes for you to pack your sweet little ears with like so much ice cream.

Switch (a.k.a. Mr Fidget) turns in a surprisingly accessible belter of a remix with nary a fidget in sight. This is probably the most straight-up party tune I’ve ever heard the guy put out, but shit me if it isn’t complete dancefloor napalm. In the party-starting way. Not the Vietnam war way.

Late of the Pier - Space in the Woods (Switch Remix)

5 hours later at the after-party, Primary 1 have what could be the total antithesis to Switch’s remix: a slowed down psych-rock digression on the hepped-up new wave mania of the original. Quirky but cool.

Late of the Pier - Space in the Woods (Primary 1 Remix)

Despite the nigh-on ridiculous immensity of remixes that have been floating around the web for the past year or so, ‘Space in the Woods’ hasn’t actually been released yet. But brace yourselves and your dollars for May 19, because that’s when the official ‘Space in the Woods’/'Focker’ single will be dropping, and I have no doubt that it will be (available) everywhere. Get into it.
