So, Bag Raiders were suitably epic at Eurotrash on Saturday. The place was pumping, the alcohol was flowing and I was three sheets to the FUCKING AWESOME PARTY. But in my… state, I kept on getting all sorts of excited about miscellaneous songs that I’d then try and frantically jot down or message people about. Despite my efforts, in the archaeological dig that was my Sunday recollection of the evening I could only dredge up two particular songs, but hell, they’re probably worth sharing with you anyway.*
First up is the already thoroughly blogged about, but still yet to be released Pjanoo from Eric Prydz a.k.a Pryda a.k.a. Cirez D. Prydz is a funny one, because most of his output is reasonably ’subtle’ and would probably best be labelled as progressive and/or tech house, especially under the Pryda and Cirez D monikers, but periodically he’ll revert to the Prydz name and promptly pump out the club hit of the year. Possibly when he wants a new car. At least ‘Call on Me’ had a good film clip…
Pjanoo is unashamed big room electro house fare, but there’s something about those Balearic pianos that gets me a little hot under the collar. Also, the build-up is the kind of thing that will leave any drug-addled person within two hundred metres a gibbering wreck. Embrace the cheese people. This will be absolutely fucking everywhere during festival season. Available on pre-order for the princely sum of 50p up until the 25th of August, before the full release arrives on the 28th.
Second is a little more cryptic, and I’m banking on the fact that at least some of you may be familiar with the unmitigated comedic genius that is Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!, but I assure you, when a remix of this song penetrated my increasingly smeared state at around 430 am, I lost my shit.
A little bit of googling the next day revealed that the tune was an edit conjured up by Melbourne’s very own Tranterco, and I attach it here because that is just too cool. Kudos Tranter, kudos.

I first stumbled across Pjanoo on the Dance Department podcast a few months ago.. It’s a great track. Like so many good house tracks it gets better and better every time you hear it. Add a few drugs…Pjanoo is up there with the best of `em….. I don’t indorse drugs.. I just hear that it makes music sound good.. that’s just what I hear.
i really enjoy “pjanoo”. fred falke remix was pretty disappointing though.
Saw Prydz at global gathering at in the UK not long ago, built his whole set up to this song (pjanoo) and droped it as his last…. tore the shit out of everyone! Kinda messy after that, wadeing arround in shit but wow it was worth it!
