Was feeling a bit blue post-Aria’s, but then iTunes randomly saved the day.. Salvation was in the muffled form of Brooklyn-bred lo fi rockers Small Black. Perfect tunes for reminiscing about holiday romances that never actually took place, and long walks on the beach that were quite short and didn’t take place on or near a beach. And then, with that perfect Washed Out remix on headphones, staring up through the office skylight at a blue washed sky it dawned on me… It’s totally Friday afternoon. BOOM!

Sydney is in good form today.

Small Black – Despicable Dogs (Washed Out Remix) (best down-tempo electro jam of all time???)

Will Bec and I be seeing y’all (with shirts on) at Stereosonic tomorrow?

Epic track. Solid remix as well.

So much of the music out there sounds the same…oh lo-fi trendsters that pitchfork seems to be showcasing for this particular hot moment. Yes, people are creatively working within the limitions of production (cost effective) but still what suffers is a lack of production!!!

I agree with Todd. It pretty much sounds like an 80′s movie love track to me. It’s not epic but the remix sounds nice. Thanks
