With the volume of new music coming through the Electrorash email and myspace at the moment my favourite way to find great new music has been to download it all and set my iTunes to shuffle. That way I can listen to something in the background and if it’s great I take notice because of the music not because of the name.
And so it was earlier today with Shook. First it was Beast (courtesy of Discodust, natch) but after searching the gmail for more I found these two great tracks and had to do my first post in over a week despite the fact I have to get up early for a long day tomorrow.
First up it is a remix of
Darlings Of The Splitscreen - Hiroshima (Shook remix)
Next we have the more subtle remix of Division Kent.
Division Kent -L’Heure Bleue (Shook remix)
We’ve posted about Shook before not too long ago. He is a 22 year old guy from the Netherlands who, despite citing Danger, Kavinsky and Justice in his influences, has developed his own ‘voice’ in his remix and original work that moves away from that whole ‘banger’ aesthetic.
Check out our previous post here or the Shook myspace for more tracks and info and let me know what you think.
