Shinichi Osawa has got to be my favourite producer right now. Definitely my favourite non-French producer.
Hailing from Japan, Shinichi has been producing and remixing international artists since the early 90’s whilst still putting out music under the name Mondo Grosso. He has worked with everyone from Princess Superstar to Freeform Five and even Au Revoir Simone who provided the vocals for his rework of the Chemical Brothers “Star Guitar”. Kapow!

His original music is sweet, subtle and intelligent. When you compare the sounds of his own compositions compared to the remixes of club bangers that he puts out it is easy to think that these are completely different people. Just check out these two tracks off of his new album, The One.
