Now then, my raggedy subjects, I think we can all agree that this here is one ridiculously spiffing tower. I could quite easily fit a billion of my very expensive horses inside it, plus a good number of those little goaty things that are always lying about my stables, eating sandals and what have you. Bless their little hearts. Put your hand down, Darius, I’ve already told you I’m not replacing them. Now I wouldn’t normally do this, but my wife has written a song about the tower, and seeing as she was kidnapped by those wretched Sea People and will probably be forced to live on a tiny fishing boat and, you know, “polish the woodwork,” I think it would be nice if we all sung… look boy, I have warned you before, not so close. You see this? This is my personal space. And all the way over here, this is your personal space. If these two collide, well that’s when death plagues and salt pillars start to happen. How do I know that? More lifting and less questions! And stop scrunching the exquisite fabric up like that. I want them to see my royal cape from space! Ok, best voices now, sopranos first, one, two… Amittai! Will you tell your kid to keep it down over there? Everyone knows Biscuit bites because his humours are askew. Ok, one, two… whoa, headspin, slight earth tremor, did anyone else just feel that? Issachar! Stop rambling and wandering off! You’re our only tenor! Are you listening to me? Darius? Boy…? Hey… goaty things! Where did you come from? Good lord, you can talk? No, no, the pleasure is all mine! My throne room? Right this way!
With an accompanying clip featuring The Tough Alliance’s Eric Berglund and Henning Fürst praying and doing magical things with lasers inside Joos de Momper and Frans Francken the Younger’s the Tower of Babel (inexplicably), “Neo Violence”, the Swedish pop-perfect single from TTA’s third album, A New Chance (out on Modular now), has become even more awesome with a Shazam remix. The Perth-based Shazam, whose remixing efforts are a perpetual success as he renders any track he touches infinitely more lovely and dance-friendly, has somehow managed to fit even more gorgeousness into this track, which on its own is already brimming with it. The kid has such an ear for a melody. Keep an eye out for his upcoming Empire of the Sun remix, and Pool Party 12”, because they are going to be huge.
