This first track from Santogold is electro pop fun. Don’t read any more into it, it’s really not necessary. But everything else you need to grab a hold of consume completely. It is fucking hot.

Santogold is singer Santi White and producer/songwriter John Hill. You will know her as the voice who wasn’t Princess Superstar in Licky (Work It Out) remixed by Herve. The Santogold track B.O.O.T.A.Y. has also had the shit blogged out of it.
The debut album comes out on the 3rd of May through Downtown records and Inertia distribution (AUS) and already Rolling Stone is called Santogold one of the “top 10 artists to watch in 2008″. I guess it’s not as bad as calling someone the top artist of the decade.
Now this track reminds me heavily of the Yeah Yeah Yeah’s or maybe even Australia’s Little Birdy, though Last.fm likens her to MIA (because she’s black?), the Gossip and Goldfrapp. And that’s a good thing. It’s cool to hear that really strong female vocal.
