My first weekend off work in like forever (and all I want to do is sleep), so we have Poney Poney’s jittery garage-pop track, “When Do You Wanna Stop Working?” The now downsized Parisian two-piece have just released it as their third single on Institubes’ new pop-focussed offshoot, Unsunned. Produced by Para One, it’s an insight into what their upcoming album, which will see Justice’s Xavier de Rosnay return as producer, will sound like. Remixes from Sweden’s Pacific! and fellow Parisian, Rob, have the track mellowed out and softened up, Pacific! turning it into a cosmic affair held together by soaring layered synths and that attention-grabbing piano intro that has become somewhat of a signature of theirs.

Pick the 12” up now from Arcade Mode.
