Valerie’s latest recruit is France’s Raphaël D’Hervez aka Pegase, the artist whose work has arguably proceeded his name as the vocalist for the wonderful Minitel Rose. On his own he of course has that signature low-key, ethereal Valerie sound, which is perfect material to fall asleep to (a compliment, not a criticism), but it’s his strong melodies that could likely nudge his work into pop song territory if the final product wasn’t so charmingly understated. Oh and he’s adorable-looking as has Artax as one of his Myspace pictures, so I guess that means we should probably get married at some point. Loving “Tears In The Rain” – we really are – sounds incredibly familiar though, and I don’t mean that in the Valerie sense – can’t wait to hear the mastered versions
