Here is some more ethereal loveliness from France’s star-gazing Pégase. These are two of my favourite tracks to come out of the Valerie collective of late, and my favourite Pégase ones so far. With every release Raphaël edges noticeably further away from the soft ambience of his earlier work, and towards the more confident, melodic pop-like sound of these two new demos. The wonderfully upbeat “Wherever You Are” has a slight MGMT feel to it (not a criticism), and “I Try To Be You” is so catchy it will haunt your dreams (also not a criticism).

Befriend Pégase via his Myspace page to keep an eye on his future releases and go here for older tracks.

Nice! Valerie Collective always put out some of my favorite jams. I totally missed this, thanks.

Does anyone else think the synth line in I Try To Be You sounds a lot like the one in Zoot Woman – Taken It All (Le Knight Club Remix)?
