Earlier this month Ed Banger announced a new signing and it looks like it’s going to be a shift away from the traditional bangers that they’ve become known for. Thank god for Mickey Moonlight.

Mickey Moonlight was formely known as Midnight Mike so it’s fair to assume that his first name is Michael. Under the Midnight Mike guise he has produced and remixed a ton of stuff including co-producing Zongamin’s self titled LP.

This new direction for Ed Banger away from the traditional bangers is a good on in my opinion. I think that Busy P and his guys have done a good job but there is more to life than their brand of electro and everyone needs some down time. Am I right?

U.K. based Mickey Moonlight is jumping right into the French scene having just mixed the latest CD for uber-outlet Colette which you can listen to here.

This is the track that will be featured on the release which was originally recorded by the legendary Sun Ra. Late Of The Pier describe it as “one of the best tracks of the past few years.”
