And they are fantastic tracks. But first a quick apology for my previous Crystal Castles post. For the record, I don’t think Ethan is an arsehole, and I didn’t intend for the post to imply that I did. It was just a lame exercise in looking at what one web-based press outlet was saying and why, because having read a lot of press about Crystal Castles, the article I mentioned was bizarre in its incongruity, which is why I chose to write about it. So yes, apologies all round, I’m an idiot. Fortunately Crystal Castles have surrounded themselves with people just as awesome as themselves, and their Toronto label, Lies Records, have sent us some brand new tracks to post. Oh, they are that awesome.

First up, a couple of remixes of what was without a doubt one of the best remixes of 2007 - Crimewave. The Lazrtag one you might have seen at the phenomenal Lemur Blog, but make sure you pick it up here if you missed it. Then there’s the xcuse.fi!ippa one which replaces the haunting quality of the original remix with kids and bubbles, but trust me, as stupid as that might sound, it’s an amazing remix. I know pretty much everyone has already posted VANiSHEd, but according to Lies Records they’ve all been early mixes, so you can finally pick up the complete and perfect version here.
