
The Frontier Touring Company has just announced the first Australian headline tour for alt heroes MGMT with shows slated for Perth, Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.
I am excited to see these guys even though it will be a night surrounded by American Apparel and over-sized glasses. I am just as excited to see supports Tame Impala for the first time and to hear Luke Steele’s new stuff, which I missed at his sold our solo show at the Toff last Thursday.
December 6 - Belvoir Amphitheatre, Perth
December 9 - Enmore Theatre, Sydney
December 10 - The Tivoli, Brisbane
December 11 - The Palace, Melbourne

I’ll email the Frontier now and see what their thoughts are on an all ages show. If there is enough support maybe it will get up. Who’s in?

Damb it all the Brisabne tickets must have been sold through pre sale. I was on at 9am and it said sold out already. Please put on another show!!!
the sydney show sold out in 1 minute and me and all my friends missed out on tickets! obviously mgmt are in high demand so add some more dates pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease

I just spoke to the touring company and Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne are sold out with only a few Perth tickets still left. They have no comment on further shows at this stage but I have an inkling of where they are likely to be - will knock up a more detailed post tomorrow morning.

One of my friends was going to buy a ticket to the Sydney one and come down from Brisbane but she missed out this morning. Guess that means we’re going to have to kneecap some scenester outside and steal their ticket. Sigh.

MGMT Sydney show was already sold out before the public sale. I got an email for presale tickets a few days before the public release and I still missed out :(.
