Major Label

General Pants, better known for major labels of the garment world (see where this is going?) have launched a digital music label.

Clothes and music have a long, rich history. Ancient texts show that people have been wearing clothes while listening to music for up to three thousand (3000) years, a tradition that continues to do this day. Why, just 2 minutes ago, I caught myself wearing jeans and a shirt while listening to some music.

General Pants (who, ironically, sell shirts and shoes too fyi) have asked each of their highly trained staffers to suggest sweet bands to participate in the program. Each month, three bands will get their single released to the world. The votes have been counted, the pants have been generalised and the three contendors for March are:

Circle Pit MySpace
Circle Pit – Another Trick

Grubby Sydney stoner (inspired) rock

Guineafowl MySpace
Guineafowl – In Our Circles

Stunning bedroom-wrought folktronica from Sydney

High Highs MySpace
High Highs – Phone Call

Australian expats, now in New York, making grandiose folk pop with tear-jerking vocals
