Lillica Libertine…Is Quite Clearly A Boy?

lillica2

Are you in Does It Offend You, Yeah?’s top friends? Didn’t think so. Lillica Libertine is. Because he’s rad. Seriously. This guy runs distortions over his distortions. His riffs are phenomenal, and if you play his tracks loud enough, it’ll probably make your ears bleed (in the good way…). And, excluding the vocals, this 18-year-old electro-prodigy produces it all from scratch. Just don’t try to listen to any of it on like a Monday or a Tuesday, because it’ll make you hell restless and the weekend is oh so far away… He’s releasing a limited edition 12” clear vinyl on brand new label Meal Deal Records in November and the artwork for it, done by Ferry Gouw of UK band, Semifinalists (who write the prettiest songs by the way) is so so awesome.

Check out the interview Trash Managerie did with Lillica Libertine earlier this year. It covers everything from alliteration to glow sticks. I just wish it explained to me why Mr Libertine has to assert his masculinity on his Myspace page… Is there maybe something I’m missing?
