I know what you’re thinking: “Good lord, another Digitalism remix? No one needs that shit filling up their hard drive,” and ordinarily I’d be right there with you, but this one is actually pretty great. Unknown to most of us before his high-energy Tigersapien and Kickdrums remixes appeared on Missing Toof and elsewhere a few of weeks ago, the Parisian Kolt13 is emerging as a noticeably sharp producer. His Taken Away remix is a clever combination of hard, glitchy base and laidback vocals with the occasional bout of relentless choppiness, while his remix of Alabama’s Girl and a Gun is like heartsrevolution gone kind of hip-hop.
