Ugh. Wine = terrible when you’re trying to pick the best two tracks from an album. It’s hard enough trying to spell basic words right, let alone be decisive enough to pick good tracks. I suppose these will do. Actually, they’re pretty excellent. Following Ned in his mission to present awesome music coming out of Japan, I give you Kacica. I hope I’m spelling that right. Kacica are a four-piece band from Nara, Japan, and they have been compared to Mogwai and Sigur Ros. Of course, that’s just from one biography of the band, which seems to be the only biography that’s being passed around, but whatever, even if they do sound like Mogwai or Sigur Ros or they dont, I still really love them. They released their second album, Mosaic, in March and it’s well worth a visit. As similar as their band-names are, they kind of remind me of Kusikia. Beautiful stuff.
