While writing this post on the charming Surkin a little while back, I read an interview on Beat in which he mentions this phenomenal piece of work. When asked about his upcoming debut full-length album, he replies that Institubes had him handcuffed to his stove. Unfortunately for him this wasn’t actually as sexy as it sounds because they really just wanted him to get the album done. Extra-curricula remixes? Not on your life, buddy. Except Justice. Because these days, no one says no to Justice:

“Institubes is run like a plantation – even though the boss is black. Be a friend, call the police… No remixes for me at the moment. I have to say no if I want to wrap up that album and get some sleep and proper food. I was allowed to make an exception for Justice. DVNO (Surkin Remix) out soon…” (read the rest here)

Yeah definitely. I think it’s the best remix/edit I’ve heard so far.

I would go as far as to say it is BETTER than the LA Riots remix, but it is certianly fresh. I prefer this track, but I bet a dollar to a doughnut the LA Riots remix will be better received on the dance floor.
