I have been a fan of John Hyde for a little while now after he brought out the only good remix of CSS’s “Alala” – a track which has been ruined far too many times by lesser men (see previous Daft Punk “Harder, Better, Faster” post). Then I found his remix of Glass Ceiling by Metric (courtesy of Palm Out Sounds), which I also like but for different reasons.
Then a couple of days ago I get added on myspace by Loud Pipes – whose page is eerily similar to that of John Hydes, so much so I am guessing they are one and the same.
Well now Loud Pipes (who may or may not be John Hyde) have brought me my track of the week – a remix of Purple Crush’s Vacation. Massive ups to Panda Toes for the link. Check it out, let me know what you think and add both Loud Pipes and John Hyde to get in on the ground floor.
