You know the most frustrating thing about Italian DJ/producer, Nima Tahmasebi aka nt89? Most of his Myspace bulletins are written in Italian, and I’m all translated-out after a semester full of French and German papers that I had to, well, translate, so I’m probably really oblivious to any exciting news he’s been telling everyone. (Actually, my dad got someone far more multi-lingual than myself to translate them for me, but whatever. Just don’t tell my lecturer, ok?) Anyway, apart from the incompatibility of nt89 insisting upon speaking in his native language lots of the time and me being too lazy to translate it, I’m a big fan. He’s been steadily releasing remix after remix, and is even excellent enough to make them and his original stuff easily-available via download on his page here. Tahmasebi’s latest remix is of a track by Dutch prog house artist, Laidback Luke, and it’s a sexy piece of work. I know it’s only 9am but may I dance now, please? Speaking of which, you must also check out his D.A.N.C.E. remix. It’s certainly not your average D.A.N.C.E. remix, and at about the 2:40 mark, he’s got it sounding like giant man-eating insects are stalking those poor, vocally-gifted kids. Got you curious now, haven’t I…?
Now all I want is that Dandy Warhols remix he promised AGES ago. The Warhols! No one remixes them! Those crazy Italians…
