I promised myself I’d never drink and post, but because my internet connection has been so shaky over the past couple of days, with this present window of barely-functional connectivity I’m going to have to risk it. Especially since it’s taken me almost a year (when a year means lots and lots of hours) to download/upload these tracks. That Tellier remix almost killed me.

Island 9, a lovely group of five or so boys from Boston, sent us some remixes, and when I found out that they’re signed to OMG! Recordings, home to the fantastic Lifelike, Kris Menace and Heartache, I felt a bit bad for not knowing who they were. Not that there’s much information about them floating around right now, all a Google search of “Island 9” got me was a guide to buying one’s own island; a Youtube clip of Escape From Monkey Island 9; and a “solution map” for Pokémon, which as far as I can tell is an eight-step explanation of how to make that kid walk around in one big circle. Now while I think it’s safe to say that all three sites will almost definitely come in handy at some point in my life, in regards to enlightening us about Island 9 – not so much. All I can tell you is that they produce one hell of a remix, and they’ll be releasing an album through OMG! some time very soon. Be sure to keep an eye on this lot.
