In Digital Form Again

The other morning I was in the shower, thinking about how to begin this post, hoping that water = creativity, when I looked out the window to see a kookaburra land on a branch just outside. This kookaburra spontaneously multiplied itself by six just moments later and they all sat in a row, silently staring at me down their pointy, omnivorous beaks. I suppose if they had been laughing it would have been slightly more off-putting, but their silence was disturbingly Hitchcockian. Then the happy thought occurred to me that my day was probably going to be awesome having started out so extraordinarily, but it ended up being pretty ordinary, those kookaburras having extinguished my daily quota of extraordinary with their rectilinear antics. Goddamn birds. They’ve also ruined half of this post.

Anyway, our good friend, Jake aka In Digital Form, has sent us a few remixes of some tracks that I’m particularly fond of. This is amped-up, DJ-friendly stuff that might save some of you lot from having to go ahead and DJ-friendly-them yourselves. And if you’re in Philadelphia and can make it to Level Room this Saturday, you can catch the first of Jake and DJ Aktive’s weekly event, Faded. I’m sure they’ll be playing the sort of stuff you can see below, and you really can’t go wrong with Ratatat, CLASSIXX, Foals and My Robot Friend, I suspect.

CLASSIXX – Cold Act ILL (In Digital Form Remix)

My Robot Friend – Robot High School (In Digital Form Remix)

Foals – Hummer (In Digital Form Remix)

Ratatat – Cherry (In Digital Form Remix)

Older In Digital Form remixes here.
