I Scream Ice Cream is the side project for Danish musician, and one half of Junior Senior, Jesper Mortenson. He recently released a 12″ on French uber label Kitsune featuring two hot indie-pop tracks.
I Scream Ice Cream’s music isn’t put together as dance floor fodder but more in the style of jam bands like !!! but with fat, distorted bass and full drums like to Death From Above 1979. It’s pretty much the sound of that house party you never got invited to in high school.
The tracks on the this 12″ are actually a part of a larger release which came out on Copenhagen based Tigerspring Records which include the tracks in their extended form before they were distilled down to the Kitsune release. It’s three tracks coming in at each 25, 35, and 45 minutes each and, respectively, 105, 125, and 130 BPMs.
[update: The album is only available in Denmark at the moment but they are looking for regional distributors: info@tigerspring.com]
Personally I can’t wait to see or hear I Scream Ice Cream in a live setting, getting sweaty and thrashing about. Staining my favourite shirt with booze and - later - kebab grease.

Show some myspace love here and check out the Kitsune website or your vinyl dealer for the 12″.
