The first dance music CD that I bought was “DanceNet Volume 2″.
It was actually a pretty good CD and I still occasionally bring it out for a bit of nostalgia and to please the fat, bald dude in the corner who has been asking for some X-Press 2 all night. It also has an early Fatboy Slim track, Punk to Funk, which I was pretty mental over.
Anyway, the reason I am bringing this up is that I just remembered that when Fatboy Slim first started to become massive, peaking on the release of “You’ve Come A Long Way Baby” in 1998, I knew that I was an early adopter from way back in 1996, What a wanker!
So thanks to Global Variables, kissatlanta and Tranterco at Scattermish for the following tracks and let me know if you dig on Punk To Funk as hard as I do/did.
Wildchild - Renegade Master (Fatboy Slim Old Skool edit)
Cornershop - Brimful of Asha (Norman Cook/Fatboy Slim remix)
Fatboy Slim - Punk To Funk

I was thinking of the Wildchild track earlier today for some reason. Thanks for the psychic post fulfillment!
