Frankmusik & Baby Origami

When Carles mentioned Frankmusik a few days ago over at Hipster Runoff, I was reminded of a couple of tracks I’ve had since November which I adore, but for some reason never posted. Not sure why, maybe because when I think of Baby Origami all I see is a string of weird crumpled paper children hanging grotesquely from a doorway and then I start to freak out… But psychiatrist field day-material aside, Frankmusik’s collaboration with Baby Origami results in a far more mature sound, the perfect foil to his fantastically bubbly and unaffected solo work, and I’m absolutely in love with both.

As far as Baby Origami is concerned, it appears to be New Zealand’s DJ Mosus and the mysterious Eddy Woo. Mysterious because in a bizarre anti-promotional move his Myspace page (which doubles as Baby Origami’s Myspace page) is set to private. Well at least I tried. Not sure if these guys will team up again in the near future, but these tracks are proof that it was definitely a worthwhile venture.
