I caught a bit of these guys at a show with Electrorash faves The Vanish (who are in the bad books for breaking Hype M) and thought hmmmm.

I walked downstairs and continued going hmmmmm… then bumped into someone I knew and promptly forgot about Former Child Stars for the next month.

They weren’t bad, they just made me go hmmmm.

But here they are, with a sparkling new single. This is fun, honest, feelgood indy-pop without a hint of the regulation posturing and swagger. It’s just a great tune, delivered with a wink and a nudge to Cut Off Your Hands and Mystery Jets.

Very excited about seeing these guys again now… get off your gravy box and jump on a train before these guys blow up. It’s fairly inevitable.
