Oh my god… a new Danger remix? Jeez, that came out of nowhere. And I kinda didn’t expect it to be of an Estelle track of all things. Pandering to a different/bigger market? I hope not. Nevertheless, I don’t mind it too much, even though I pretty much have no interest in Estelle. Kanye, on the other hand, I always find myself liking, in spite of that whole whiney-little-bitch routine of his. Anyway, the remix. It starts out fairly standard/disappointing/repetitive, gets kinda cool at about 2:30 when Danger plays around with it a bit more, cutting it up and so on, then Kanye appears and it’s pretty alright from there. Ironically, I find the end bit where there are no vocals at all to be my favourite part, it sounds more like Danger, and it feels more like home.
Estelle feat. Kanye West - American Boy (Danger Remix)
There seems to be a weird little tiff over this track involving Gee Wizz and Kids By Colette. Not sure what it’s about, but I’ll attribute it to both of them just in case…
