Esau Mwamwaya + Radioclit are ‘The Very Best’

In one of my first posts I wrote about a guy called Esau Mwamwaya, a Malawian singer whose chance encounter with one of Radioclit turned into a musical adventure taking in all bongo-bothering things that Radioclit are known for plus a bit more on the side.

Whilst an album is on the way, in the meantime the guys have realised a mixtape, including some of the tracks that have been doing the blog rounds for a while and a few new cuts.

Originally intending for release on Nov 1st, the tape has found it’s way online and is getting support from all the right people. Esau’s already been on the cover of the Fader, and Gorilla vs Bear seem intent on making him 2009′s M.I.A.

Oh, and did I say it’s the most uplifting thing you’ll hear all year.
