It’s a sad state of affairs indeed when an act as lovely as Barcelona’s Pablo Díaz-Reixa aka El Guincho, has to sell his already fairly cheap tickets at 2 for the price of 1 just days before his Sydney show at the Oxford Art Factory. His debut album, Alegranza, was one of the most charming and uplifting records of last year, and the inevitable comparisons to the wildly popular Panda Bear should’ve had some kind of impact on his notoriety (or lack there of, as the case appears to be), but it seems not.
