I have a confession to make, and it’s a fairly appalling one. After having spent a good number of years being raised by a very religious family (as opposed to a pack of wolves; sled dogs; or even just a very secular family), it was not until I was discussing The Rapture: the band, with friends that I discovered that there also existed The Rapture: the Biblical phenomenon. I guess I must have skipped that chapter somewhere along the line. Fortunately my dad was none the wiser because it somehow never came up when we played Bible Trivia, but of course once he reads this, I’ll be busted cold. Ah hell, I never liked Revelations anyway.
Now that I’ve got that off my chest, on to the lovely Edwin Van Cleef’s remix of DatA’s Rapture, which he so kindly sent us despite the fact that in my previous post about him I just might have called him a nerd. I think this is pretty close to what it would sound like if Sebastien Grainger was to roll around in a intergalactic field of synths and glitches for like four minutes:
DatA – Rapture (Edwin Van Cleef Remix).
Pick up an Edwin Van Cleef original track here.
