Designer Drugs are completely on fire right now. I’m still obsessed with their Mariah Carey remix, and it’s been almost two weeks since IHEARTCOMIX originally posted it. So the fact that my blog-house-related attention span has almost made it to the two-week mark and I’m not even a little bit sick of the track (which is almost as incredible as her marriage approaching the five-month mark) probably means the DD kids are on to something. Something awesome.

Not to take anything away from the excellence that is Mimi, of course, because let’s face it, the bitch is alright. My first ever full-length CD was Mariah Carey’s Music Box, but only by the grace of my good father, whose quick thinking rescued me from the potential credit crisis of Christmas 1993. I was devastated to discover that I’d already used up almost all of my present budget when I decided that I desperately needed Music Box, so dad said that we could share it, so long as he got to keep the Mariah poster that came with it. I wish as a nine-year-old I could have appreciated the inherent hilarity of the situation, but I was far too preoccupied with the relief that I didn’t have to sacrifice my LPS Kitty Condo afterall. Priorities.

And now another one of my favourite ladies, the lovely-looking (despite the above hideous dress which makes her look like a hot lumpy mess with a Photoshopped-on head and tiny flaccid wings sewn on to her sleeves) Victoria Hesketh, aka Little Boots, has found herself on the receiving end of the Designer Drugs remix treatment, which is nice, seeing as just yesterday I was listening to her stuff on my way home, deciding for about the 700 billionth time that it is beyond awesome (give or take a few billions. Most likely take). Let’s hope Designer Drugs keep remixing tracks by pretty ladies, because they do it so well.
