It’s not every day you get a phonecall saying ‘yo, come to New York to record fresh jams with the not-scary half of team Ronson and a barn full of tried and tested industry talents’…

That’s just want happened to Sydney’s own one man Animal Collective, Jonti Danimals.

The final result from the ‘Ted Lab‘ experiment run earlier this year is a track called Fox (originally called ‘Rythmatic Fox’, but Jonti forgot to tell anyone that). Produced by Mark Ronson, lyrics by Santigold and creative support from the Kaiser Chiefs, Albert Hammond Jr, John Taylor from Duran Duran. It was even mixed by Dave Sitek.

Hectic.

The result – a galaxy ranging psychedelic jam with dreamy breakdowns. Feral but joyous. there’s a documentary about the writing week coming soon.

What do you make of it?
