damn Arms NARCTRAX

It’s nice to be back. I hope we were missed. And what better way to kick things off again with Tokyo-based prodigy, NARCTRAX’s official remix of Damn Arms’ The Not So Progressive Punks, which has been burning a hole in my brain for about a week now. NARCTRAX is our lucky star. I couldn’t have imagined it to be any better than it’s turned out to be. Unlike the lighter, synth-oriented Damn Arms remixes that have been floating around of late, Van Narc’s synth-application is superb, taking nothing away from the heavy, distorted quality of the original, rendering it as much of a NARCTRAX track as it is a Damn Arms track. Clever, clever stuff. If I had to compare another Damn Arms remix, it’d have to be the phenomenal Midnight Juggernauts one. Yes, this one is that good. I’m all amazement. And word on the street is that Melbourne’s own Adam Burnell aka 1928 is also so impressed with the remix, we’ll be seeing his own take on it in the very near future.

Now run along and check out NARCTRAX’s Myspace page (yes, yes, download the remix first) to pick up his amazing mixtape, “Synesthesia.” (Oh my god… coincidence??)
