Webcastr.com have obtained exclusive rights to the preview for Daft Punk’s upcoming Alive 2007 DVD of their August Brooklyn gig.

The footage is compiled from 250 hand-held cameras shot by the attending audience and directed by Olivier Gondry, the older and lesser Gondry. The format will be familiar to anyone who saw 2006′s  Awesome! I Fuckin’ Shot That! by The Beastie Boys.

“This time we are fully prepared for the possible onslaught of viewership from around the world and with the band’s global audience, we fully expect for this to be a great success for the band, Virgin Records and Webcastr,” says founder/CEO Tim Devine.

Alive 2007 is a whole new beast, however, with Mix Master Mike’s 5 foot DJ booth replaced with Daft Punk’s Luxor-esque DJ pyramid. This footage will surely get anyone attending an upcoming DP gig drooling.

Look out for this release on November 20th through Virgin.
