A while ago I was talking to someone about the Parklife and Never Ever Land line-ups (I can’t really remember who… Oops that’s irrelevant…) and how completely rad it was going to be to see all those amazing international acts, and I told whomever it was that if I ever get to see Crystal Castles (alt Myspace page) play live my life would pretty much be complete. Since hearing that Crystal Castles would be touring Australia at the end of the year, I’m not quite ready to die, but I do feel a whole lot more fulfilled. They’ve just released the dates and venues so check them out below and then run along and organise your tickets:
14th Dec – Meredith Festival – Melbourne (Melbourne gets everything!)
15th Dec – Oxford Art Factory – Sydney (yesssss)
19th Dec – TBA
20th Dec – Pogo – Melbourne
21st Dec – Lick It, Empire Hotel – Brisbane
22nd Dec – Click Click - Melbourne
And while we’re on the topic of upcoming Australian tours, multiple words from multiple horses’ mouths is that Foals, Dandi Wind, Narctrax AND kap10kurt will all be coming out to play some shows at some stage, either at the end of the year, or early next year, so let’s all get excited about that. Now all I need to do is see Liars and Shy Child play live, and then maybe then I can die content.

P.S. Umm yes, in Mother Knows Best, Alice does sing, “H.E.R.P.E.S. I can smell it through her dress.” Edgy little creature that she is…
P.P.S. For some reason Crystal Castles don’t appear anywhere on the Arts Factory website, but I’ve confirmed with them that they will be playing there on the 15th. No idea why they have to be so mysterious about it…

Shy Child played at a Vice party in Melbourne a couple of months ago. I had a couple of tickets but passed them on in favour of a good night’s sleep. I am a moron.
Now what to get Crystal Castles for Christmas…
Sleep-loving MORON!
Let’s get Crystal Castles a Nintendo for Christmas. I bet they don’t already have one of those…
Cool @!@ can i come too?
Do i have to bring a Nintendo too. Or maybe I can get them a reconditioned Sega Master System. The original one that was about the size of a surfboard and came with Duck Hunter. Then i can get them the greatest 8-bit game known to man, and perhaps Raliens alike.
