I recently interviewed DJ Craze about his upcoming Fabric Live mix that is coming out early February (fucking good, posting end of this week). One of the questions I asked him was who he thought were the next up and comers, the people to watch out for.
His stone cold and single answer was the Cool Kids.
The Cool Kids aren’t those guys who hang around the bike sheds and smoke cigarettes or wear those FCUK shirts. They are a duo coming out of New York and recently signed to A-Trak’s label Fool’s Gold.
Their sound is a mixture of Miami Bass, electro, Bmore… Sorry, can’t think of anymore buzz words for cool music at the moment.
They will be in Australia from the 22nd of February until the 2nd of March playing shows in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. This means they are just going to miss A-Trak who is out here in support of Kanye (does he need a last name anymore?). Check out their myspace for dates. Get ready.

Flosstradamus helped break these kids here in Chicago. Also, another tale of 6 degrees of seperation, one of the cats from Flossy is also part of Kid Sister with (surprise!) his sister, who I heard is dating A-Trak.
