Only because I’m having a clean (literally and figuratively) weekend could I wake up this early on a Saturday morning and find that this has leaked. I didn’t think I would like this, but I do. Oasis are releasing their new album, Dig Out Your Soul, on the 6th October. They’ve lost a lot of fans over the past few years with their mediocre releases, I am skeptical, but quietly hopeful that they have done something brilliant with this one.
Oasis - Falling Down (Chemical Brothers Remix)
Thanks, Pop Scene.
[Edit] Outlaws just sent us their re-edit, and having chopped out Noel’s vocals, describe it as, “now perfectly safe for Jay-Z fans to listen to.” Ha.

Don’t Believe the Truth came out in 2005 to glowing reviews from fans and critics alike. AllMusicGuide.com gave it 4 1/2 stars out of 5. It is a great album and hardly a mediocre release.
wow, amazing remix, the chems keep on giving!!
Have you heard the Outlaws re-edit? THERE’S NO NOEL SINGING ON IT - amazing. But there is a sample of him talking about drugs at the start!

Not sure about the “Don’t Believe The Truth” hype there though Matt.
That Outlaws re-edit is wicked!
Yeah ok, you got me. I was generalising. But at the same time you have to admit that Don’t Believe the Truth certainly didn’t set the world on fire like Definitely, Maybe and What’s the Story? did.
i am definitely on Jay Z’s side on this one
Sure it didn’t set the world on fire; that wasn’t the intention of the release. the point is, the songwriting is back in form, and Dig Out Your Soul is coming out in October, and just might ignite that fire again. We shall see.

DM and WTSMG set the world on fire.true.Be Here Now is also a great album.and the last 3 are good.i wouldn’t rank them as mediocre.we should just stop comparing their albums.album comparisons are ok,but in the case of oasis,i think it has reached a point where it has become too overblown-when all albums are compared to their first two.bottomline:all there album’s are good.except that the first two and even the third one were monumental albums.and yes i do hope that the latest album can rock the world in its own right, not because it’s just like DM and WTSMG.
