CFCF must have absolutely no spare time. And no, I’m not talking about the Canadian Family Camping Federation. Or the Caring For Carcinoid Foundation. I’m talking about Mike Silver, aka CFCF, the nineteen-year-old Canadian-born DJ/producer who seems to be just about everywhere at the moment. He remixes like a BANDIT, his current portfolio containing tracks from artists such as Justice, HEALTH, Chromantics, Deerhoof, Kanye West, Crystal Castles, Spank Rock, Uffie, CPC Gangbangs and Apache Beat, AND he produces his own stuff, which is just as awesome as his remixes. He’s currently working on remixes for The Teenagers and the new darlings of the blogosphere, Heartsrevolution, which I for one am extremely, extremely excited about. Really.

Among his cited influences are a whole bunch of Japanese artists, and it’s not hard to catch that in his original tracks. They have that trancey, smooth element that fully reminds me of Japanese DJ/Producer Narctrax. Raining Patterns is CFCF’s brand new track, and if you’re like me, you’ll be a little bit fascinated by it, which actually isn’t that surprising when you consider it’s by the guy who made HEALTH’s Triceratops sound like something from the Nightrider soundtrack…

Justice - Phantom (CFCF’s Six Pack Remix)

Crystal Castles - Air War (CFCF Remix)

Triceratops (CFCF Remix) - HEALTH

CPC Gangbangs - Teenage Crimewave (CFCF Remix)

CFCF - Raining Patterns

CFCF - Color Dreams
