A phenomenal group has been bubbling away beneath the surface of Sydney’s folk scene for the past two years. After gigs here, there and everywhere the band have settled down to record a full length release.

The first cut is called ‘Wishingbone’, it’s a dense, cinematic slice of gorgeous folk. And thanks to the mixing-meistering of Peter Katsis (Jonsi, The National, Sigur Ros) the acoustic peaks and troughs have been honed into an undulating range of bluesy nostalgia.

A gorgeous little ditty from Melbourne electronic songstress Foragers.

She’s just released a limited run split EP in collaboration with her buddies Leone Western. It’s called Little Love, and you can grab it right now from their Bandcamp

Get a free taste of Foragers’ cheeky electro-folk below. It doesn’t grab immediately and at time meanders towards unnecessary instrumentation, but the vocals are so gloriously heart-on-sleeve you’ll be in bouts and swoons before too long.

A little late to the party – but definitely one for anybody vaguely attracted to the wave of broken dub and glitch scene emerging in Melbourne and Sydney as of late.

Mr Goose is a generous soul, producing a bunch of records and dropping them all online for free. What a gent.

This one, from his Lemon Jelly-gets-roofied-while-on-holiday sounding ‘Parquet’.

Sounds like Delorean if they were very agitated about something or in need of epilepsy medication.
