A couple of weeks ago I was supposed to meet my sister in Marrickville for lunch and I ended up getting lost in some park. There were bugs everywhere, it was frightening, but eventually my sister came and found me. But why am I telling you this, I hear you ask? Well I think the more pressing question you should be asking is: how come I can suddenly hear your collective thoughts….? Exactly. Well what I was going to say before I was interrupted by your unusually loud thinking, is that the park I was lost in just so happens to be Wicks Park (Marrickville, Sydney), which is where a fantastic live music event is being held this Sunday afternoon. It’s the “electro edition” of Marrickville council’s annual Sunday Arvo Sessions, featuring The Bumblebeez, Ro Sham Bo, Kato, Cat Call, S.Y.L.K. and Anna Lunoe. (Click here for details.) Oh and the most exciting part? It’s FREEE. So if you’re like me and have spent part of this week’s food money on Cut Off Your Hands tickets, the prospect of a free show is pretty special. We’ve just all got to figure out a way to not be too hungover to leave the house at 2pm on a Sunday afternoon… I’m open to suggestions.
