in what will probably be one of the more epic weekends of 2007, the bloody beetroots are coming to my hometown, melbourne, on the 19th of october (a.k.a. the night before the klaxons finally hit town). aside from hopefully putting together an interview with them closer to that date. i am also dj-ing at the gig, so come down for the party!
they have been incredibly busy of late, two remixes for goose, and two incredibly good remixes for timbaland, as well as the significant globetrotting that will eventually bring them to australia. but i thought i’d throw up some of their older work. the first track i heard by the bloody beetroots was their remix of “kinky malinki” by bob rifo, played out by the acid jacks. it has a cool messed up opening/slamming middle progression. it sounds to me a bit like switch/sinden falling into felix cartal/justice. yeahhhhhh.
