Electrorash

In 2006, Beck was working on his follow-up to the Dust Brothers-enhanced Guero when this track popped up on iTunes and around the web.

Timebomb was rumoured to appear on the slightly Z-Trip-enhanced The Information, but didn’t and stayed in a Deadweight-esque limbo amongst Beck’s full-lengths to be released solo mid-2007.

Like Deadweight, Timebomb stands on it’s own, bringing a little more of a new-electro influence than the rest of his tracks around that time. It just needed a remix, maybe.

The most interesting thing about this track, it may please you to know, is who Beck got to sing background vocals on this track: five model/actress types?! One of whom I’m sure was dating Edward Norton 2 years ago.
