More blistering Frenchness, this time from self-described 19 year-old ’student in politics (France), beginner in electronic music’ Bandit, a currently unsigned but nonetheless awesome French kid with a knack for making melodramatic, melody heavy electro-funkers with breakdowns to die for. Well, maybe not actual death, but I’d definitely consider taking a bullet for them. Through the arm or shoulder. Somewhere non-vital… Yeah, that seems about right.

He’s vaguely promising a new track this month, so keep your eyes on his MySpace for future goodness. And in case you’re wondering, the man trying his darndest to combine bright yellow with pink and moustache in the picture above is none other than the original Bandit himself, star of such Burt Reynolds career nadirs as ‘Smokey and the Bandit’, and ‘Smokey and the Bandit Two’. We can only hope that this Bandit begins to model himself upon his ever auspicious namesake. Right?
