  Boy, Rolling Stone are in trouble. In their November issue this year they've included this Indie Rock Universe article that lists some great bands alongside some pretty illustrations. Very subtly, however, they're included the sponsor: Camel Cigarettes.   Karlheinz Stockhausen Dies

  Last week Karlheinz Stockhausen died in Kurten, Germany. He's one of those guys you should know the name of if you appreciate the origins of modern audio manipulation and electronic music. Known as an experimental orchestral composer, Stockhausen served to influence a slew of forward-thinking musicians through the 60s-90s including The Beatles, Aphex Twin, Bjork and Sonic Youth, in naming only a few.   Code Monkey Emily on stage with Jonathan Coulton

  Months ago an Evanston IL resident named Emily uploaded a video of herself performing a dance to Jonathan Coulton's song Code Monkey which received a huge response on YouTube. The track blew up a little as a result. Whilst on tour in Chicago, Jonothan asked the crowd whether the young lady was present and invited her on stage to reenact her jig live to the audience as Jon and his two backup singers, Paul and Storm, accompanied.
